Taco-Style Chili

1 tablespoon olive oil
1 1/2 pounds ground turkey or chicken
15-ounce can tomato sauce
2 15-ounce cans beans (black, charro, or pinto)
1/2 15-ounce jar salsa
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon cumin
1/2 teaspoon salt

Optional: 2 cups frozen vegetables, diced frozen onions, dried or frozen cilantro, canned jalapeno peppers, cheese
